The 21st century has seen a shifting culture where everyone is entitled to be identified as whatever they choose. Men are choosing to be called "she/her". Women are choosing to be called "sir". Some are choosing not to identify with either although they have flesh and bones like everyone else.
Given this openness of self-expression, our people should have the ability to reclaim their rightful title, identity, and nationality: Hebrew.
By definition, nationality is a legal identification of a person in international law, establishing the person as a subject, a national, of a sovereign state.
The Most High YAH has given us our nationality and He made it very clear what nation we belong to; but due to many factors, some out of our own volition and others not, that identity has been stripped from us. We operate under a jurisdiction that is not our own and allow our enemies to refer to us by oppressive standards.
When will we begin to stand up for our heritage, stand up for our rights, and stand up for our people?
I remember growing up and wondering why little Karen, Sally, Billy, and Jim could recount their ancestral heritage, but all I could say was that I was black, maybe throw a little African American in there to jazz it up. Luckily for me and my Charleston roots, I could add a little spice by referring to my Gullah/Geechee ancestry. But still, my identity began with the enslavement of my people. But what about before then? I know I wasn't always a slave... What I would later find out would shake the realm.
Praise be to the Almighty YAH for restoring our identity. Praise be to the Almighty YAH for restoring our heritage. And praise be to the Almighty YAH for restoring our nationality. The joy I experienced and the sense of belonging I felt when I learned that the Bible was MY history book.
The anger that I experienced when I realized I had been asking for my history while learning and reading from MY history book all of my life.
How dare my oppressors present to me my history with a smile on their face knowing that they stole it from my people. My Creator didn't create a religion. He created a nation that was set apart for Himself. Black is not a nation. And YAH never spoke to the nation of black. YAH said "Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired." (Zephaniah 2:1). And what nation was that? The United Nation of Yisrael.
The time has come for our nation to gather. The time has come for us to declare our true nationality under our Abba, The Most High YAH. Rep your set. Wave your flag. And gather together under The Most High and His nation.
And stop calling me black. Because I don't even know what that is.
In Peace and Love.
