A recent graduate of Central Visual and Performing Arts School in St. Louis killed two and injured several others during a shooting on Monday, October 24, 2022.
19-year-old Orlando Harris is responsible for the violence as he entered the school Monday morning with at least a dozen 30-round, high-capacity magazines.
Authorities are unsure of how Harris entered the building as all of the doors remain locked during school hours.
The police also said that the shooter, who graduated last year, did not have any prior criminal activity and was killed at the scene. Although a clear motive has not been identified, there are suspicions that the shooter may have suffered from mental illness.
This is the 36th school shooting in the United States in 2022 that has resulted in injuries or deaths.
